Each race is actually 2 races with the opposing racer. Once in the left lane and once in the right lane. Best time of the 2 races is the winner. The 1st time (2 races) that Jayson faced off against Olivia Tucci, he lost. Since this is a double elimination race, Jayson continued to race and beat all other challengers. The Final race was against Olivia who was undefeated at that time and Jayson. Because he won the next set of races, he had to race her again for a total of 3 races or 6 times down the hill. Olivia's only losses for the day was in the Finals against Jayson. Olivia is one heck of a racer!

After the final race, Jayson's car was thoroughly inspected by the judges. His vehicle is now impounded and will be shipped to Akron Ohio for the World Championship on July 25th. This is done to make sure no illegal tampering is done and so that the same car that won will be used at the World Championship.
