As a member of the NYCCC Team, technicians must perform tasks required for cutting, coring and drilling of various concrete and asphalt structures. Perform basic skilled construction tasks to include rough and finished concrete cutting. Participate in on-the-job training for basic operation of equipment used
on job sites. Conditions of Employment: A valid New York Driver's License and good driving record recommended, but not required. Work occasional overtime, sometimes on short notice. Work outside in all types of weather. Availability and willingness to attend CSDA Training Programs. |
Skills to perform concrete drilling, coring and cutting. Basic carpentry skills. Skills using a variety of hand and power tools. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good recordkeeping skills. Skills in basic concrete work. Knowledge of basic electrical principles, including low and high voltage.
Skills in custodial work, including floor cleaning and appropriate use of cleaning materials and equipment. Ability to work as a team member. Knowledge of safe work practices.
Physical Requirements: Position requires lifting 94 pound sacks of sand, concrete, and various heavy concrete and asphalt cutting and coring equipment. |
