Welcome to my Web site!

Hello, my name is Mike Sakal and I am from Reading PA. about 40 miles from Philadelphia.   Born Michael Joseph Sakal III in Reading PA on April 16, 1963 and graduating from Governor Mifflin in 1981, I've done quite a bit of traveling for work and just moving around.  I've lived in Scranton, PA., Bradenton, Fl., Atlantic City, NJ., Ocean City, NJ., Key West, Fl., back to NJ and finally ending back where I started in PA.  Unfortunately both my father and grandfather have passed away so now I've dropped the III (3rd) since I am now the only.  I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful woman on the computer of all places when I ran a computer Bulletin Board Service (BBS) back in the days before the internet took off. On September 14, 1996 I was lucky enough to marry my wife Ruth.  We just celebrated our tenth anniversary.  Looks like she decided not to get rid of me.  Being a modern woman or maybe just to piss me off a little, she still goes by her maiden name of McGill.  Born in the garden state of New Jersey, she too has moved around a bit including Exton PA, York PA and Dallas TX.  Ruth is a Custom Framer owning her own Art Gallery.  She acquired the business from her father and then relocated Lees Art Gallery to Flying Hills.  That means I just didn't marry her for her good looks, she's a business woman too!  :)

I'm an Installer by trade.  Cable, Satellite and Home Theater as well as computers.  You can peek at my RESUME if you like.  Having a technical mind and a firm belief in craftsmanship, I've always managed to move up the ranks quickly into a supervisory position.  In addition to my skills in wiring homes, I am also involved with computers.  Being an A+ certified technician I build computer systems as well.  I also like designing websites.  Some day I hope to peruse my fondness with computers and get my MCSE.  Unfortunately in late 2004 I hurt my back while unloading a truck at work.  On 7/11/2005 I had a fusion done in my lower back.  Still can't get through a day without pain so currently I'm on workman's comp.  Trust me when I say it's not fun not working because I am one of those workaholics.  The 1st few weeks are fine, but after that you start going stir crazy.  The highlight of the week is getting to go to therapy.  It's the most fun and activity I get all week.  :(
